Support for practice in times of crisis

The Corona crisis currently limits our opportunities to meet physically.
The need to reach each other in other ways has led communities of practice, nationally and internationally, to offer their followers online forums, online exercises and teaching:

From the US, Jon Kabat-Zinn leads free weekly meditations on the platform, Wisdom 2.0.

The international organization Center for Systems Awareness holds online meetings every Tuesday for their network of teachers and others who work with and for children.

Here at home you can, at Danish Center for Mindfulness, get support from their corona aid package, or you can accept the open invitation to participate in the center's manager, Lone Fjorback,'s weekly Thursday sessions with online mindfulness.

The growth center in Nørre Snede While the center's course activities have had to close their doors during the corona period, it has opened a new online communication space containing guided exercises with the Growth Center's trainers and with Jes Bertelsen's practical guides for times of crisis.
Here you can also get a look into the center's lay monastery daily life where there are now many fewer guests than usual, and where in the daily regular joint meditations you can only meditate together in limited numbers.
The heartbeat of the center is usually the meditation rhythms and the community around them. This spring, this pulse has instead found a place under the open sky with the practitioners sitting in the center's courtyard and in the park.

Here at Kontemplation, we have – partly due to the impression of how many people are currently in a partially involuntary quarantine and isolation – decided to release all our material from the webshop, so that all internships and exercises will be available for free in our webshop in the coming time. practice library.
First, here is a yoga video with Martin Guldberg focusing on finding strength and flexibility in the spine and lower back.

The Dalai Lama has said, ”The most difficult time in your life is the best opportunity to develop inner strength.”
This spring with corona brings with it many new challenges, raises a lot of uncertainty and many questions that cannot be answered right now: About the nature of the disease, about the vulnerable among us, about the economy of the individual and society, and about people in other places in the world who are more affected than we are.
The initiatives mentioned here from communities of practice in different parts of the world indicate that we can also find support online in each other's presence, by practicing together and training awareness, compassion and clarity. And perhaps through that we find access to possible inner resources, to the strength within ourselves that the Dalai Lama points out that challenging times can also evoke.
