Dear friends and acquaintances of Kontemplation
We are approaching a transition, a turn of the year.
We say goodbye to 2020 and welcome 2021.
On this occasion, we would like to thank you all for this year and wish you – and all of us – a very happy new year.
The date itself is arbitrary. That is, something people have chosen. We calculate time according to the Gregorian calendar, which places the turn of the year precisely on December 31. In other calendars and at other times it has been different.
Still, timing is important.
Because we are now beginning the movement from darkness towards light, towards longer days.
But also because the turn of the year has great collective significance. Billions of people turn their attention to this date. Hope, fear, long, pray and wish that the future will be bright. Or at least manageable.
This is why we mark the transition with a online New Year's event. Which we are looking forward to.
For many of us, the New Year is an opportunity to look back, take stock, try to be present, and from that presence look forward to the coming year.
For most of us, the past year will have been marked by the pandemic in one way or another. Just as the newly arrived vaccine is at the center of collective attention these days.
Perhaps at this transition it is clearer than ever that the life and everyday life of the individual is woven together with the world situation. That we are all connected, that we reach deepest, when our individual choices and actions are in harmony with what is also beneficial for others.
Just ahead lies January 2021.
I Kontemplation's team We want to mark this month with special care around practice.
We have therefore joined forces to create a PRACTICE MONTH – consisting of guided meditations, yoga sequences and relaxation exercises – that will cover the entire month of January. So that every morning of the first 31 days of the coming year, a new practice will be posted on the website.
All meditations and yoga sessions will be freely available in our practice library and can be followed wherever and whenever it fits into your life and everyday life.
See you again on the new year's internship trip that begins on January 1st.
Warm regards
on behalf of the Kontemplation team
