The pentagram or pentagon is a figure that summarizes five fundamental aspects of being human:
The opportunity to feel the body – and for this feeling to become an increasingly comprehensive and important process towards greater body awareness.
The opportunity to give space to natural breathing – and thereby experience how close breathing is to our essence.
The talent for love we have been given as a cradle gift – the ability to listen increasingly attentively to the heart throughout life.
The miracle of our consciousness.
And the fifth aspect of the pentagon: the ceaseless natural creativity of the cosmos. The fact that everything is in constant change.

The pentagon was originally formulated – and drawn – by Jes Bertelsen a number of years ago. He has always emphasized that it is not his invention, but a kind of distillation of the wisdom traditions' experience of which strategies best and most precisely help us grow.

In this meditation, Martin reviews the pentagon – and he has composed music for the review that, as we hear, provides a simultaneously subdued and organ-like support for relaxation and opening of consciousness behind the words.

Nice meditation, but where was the pentagram?

      Dear Kirsten.

Thank you for your question. The pentagram consists of the five “gates” inward, which we include in this guided meditation. The five paths inward are: 1. presence with the body, 2. presence with the breath, 3. presence with the heart and empathic feelings, 4. knowing that we are awake, and finally 5. presence with the flow of mind (i.e. presence with everything that moves in the mind). In his book, “An essay on inner freedom”, Jes Bertelsen has described these five “flow gates” as paths to a deeper inner anchoring. In the book you will also find a pentagram illustration, which visually brings together the five paths towards the innermost part of ourselves. The pentagram in this understanding is therefore a pedagogical description of how one can simply use the acquired presence skills for immersion. You can read more in “An essay on inner freedom”.

Thank you for the redeeming meditation❤️ – the music went straight to my heart and something loosened up there and I didn't notice the thoughts at the end. I will continue to "play" with the focuses today.

Dear Dorthe – thank you for sharing. We will pass your words on to Martin who is both the guiding voice and the composer. We hope you had a good day with the pentagon – and perhaps the awareness of the five portals inward may come into tomorrow too…❤️

Thank you for a lovely and calm meditation with space to listen – both inwardly and into the accompanying music.
A good experience to take with you throughout the day.

      Dear Birgitte
That's exactly how we feel about this guidance – thank you for your words, we will take them into our day – and pass your words on to Martin.
