Christmas is also an invitation to stop and feel the contemplation, silence and possible peace of the holiday.
Which also resonates in Christmas carols, and which is found in the special, almost mystical Christmas peace of Christmas days.

It is our experience that both Christmas and the turn of the year can be made into a very special backdrop for practice.
Therefore, for several years now, we have marked this opportunity with two events:
A New Year's retreat at Øster Løkke which is led by Peter, and where Kirsten and Charlotte from the team are hosts.
And our online annual event: The turn of the year – a contemplative approach seam Martin leader.

For us, these two initiatives have become recurring rituals.
Which can provide important support for practice:
Rituals build energy, they contain a form that, because it recurs, can be explored and refined. They constitute something stable, something to hold onto.

In Norway we call the time between Christmas and New Year's Eve Romjulen, where 'rom' means space.
For me, it has always felt as if a special space arises on those days when a spaciousness, a pause, a stop in the flow of time. As if the calendar stops – before it all starts again in January.

And then we are also approaching January – where we are now beginning the year for the fifth time with the January Practice, which is 31 invitations, or guided meditations, one each day as a way of welcoming the new year.
This time the headline is HOME.
And since we know that December can also be challenging, we are already giving a preview of the theme with the meditation. Come home – take a break with Martin.

Warm December greetings,

on behalf of all of us in the Kontemplation team,

Hanneli

Kære venner og bekendte af Kontemplation Vi er optaget af hvordan vi bedst kan både glæde os over og praktisere med de rytmer og ritualer der hører til julen…

[467

338
post-33603","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-breve","person-hanneli-aagotsdatter
["GET
